WHY SHOULD YOU DRYFIRE? 🤔

🔫 1. Builds Muscle Memory

Repetition without live fire allows you to train your hands, eyes, and mind to perform movements automatically.

• Drawing from the holster
• Acquiring sights
• Trigger press and reset
• Magazine changes

When faced with stress or a defensive situation, your body will revert to its training muscle memory is what keeps you smooth and efficient.

💡 2. Reinforces Proper Fundamentals

Dry fire practice lets you slow down and focus on technique without recoil or noise.

You can fine tune:

• Grip and stance
• Sight alignment
• Trigger control
• Follow-through

These habits translate directly to better accuracy when you hit the range.

⚡ 3. Improves Reload Speed & Efficiency

Practicing reloads (tactical and emergency) helps you:

• Keep the gun running under stress.
• Maintain good muzzle discipline.
• Get faster, smoother, and more consistent.
• Build confidence in weapon manipulation.

Even 10 to 15 minutes a few times a week can drastically improve reload performance.

⚙️ 4. Builds Confidence Under Pressure

Confidence comes from competence. The more you practice dry fire and reloads, the more natural those actions feel. That confidence carries over to live fire, competitions, or defensive encounters.

✅ Safety Reminder

Always:
• Double-check your firearm is unloaded before training.
• Remove all live ammo from the training area.
• Use snap caps or dummy rounds if needed.

Stairs.

Here we are having a discussion on how to handle a stairwell using a 4 man stack.

The concept is not difficult, just need to get the reps in and have a understanding of the fundamentals.

We had the students work going up and also down the stairs.

This is definitely not something we get to practice a lot so again thanks to for setting this training day up. We look forward to next time.

CQB training isn’t about looking tactical , it’s about working as a team when seconds matter.

Most real-world security threats happen in tight spaces: hallways, offices, stairwells, and crowded buildings. If your team hasn’t trained together in those environments, communication breaks down, angles get missed, and mistakes happen.

CQB training builds:

• Clear team communication
• Proper movement and room clearing
• Better threat identification
• Safer angles and positioning
• Trust between team members

A security team that trains together moves with purpose, communicates without hesitation, and responds with confidence.

Because when a situation unfolds in close quarters, there’s no time to figure it out on the fly.

Train together. Move together. Protect together.
