We’ve had a ton of new followers over the past year, so I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and say thank you for being here.

My name is Tommy Hahn, and I’m the owner and operator of JTH Landscaping. I’m a third-generation landscaper and have spent nearly 12 years in the landscaping industry. Growing up around this trade gave me a passion for creating outdoor spaces that families can enjoy for years to come, and that’s what led me to start JTH Landscaping.

What means the most to me is the relationships we’ve built with our customers over the years. Whether we’re installing a drainage system, maintaining a property, or completely transforming a backyard, my goal is always the same: provide quality work, honest communication, and a finished product that exceeds expectations.

As a small business owner, I’m involved in every project and take pride in treating each property as if it were my own. Seeing our customers enjoy their outdoor spaces when the project is complete is what makes all the hard work worth it.

Another project complete for JTH Landscaping! 🌿

This customer was dealing with drainage issues, and we were able to create a solution that is both functional and visually appealing. We installed two 4” perforated drain pipes and routed them to the back of the property to properly move water away from the area.

To give it a natural look, we cut in a small swale and finished it with 3–5” Iowa creek rock along with several accent boulders, creating a dry creek bed that blends seamlessly into the landscape.

We wrapped up this privacy berm on Friday, transforming this backyard into a natural, secluded retreat the homeowner can enjoy for years to come. By adding layered plantings and elevation, we created a beautiful screen that enhances privacy while blending naturally into the landscape.

To make maintenance even easier, we also installed a drip irrigation system to keep the plants healthy and thriving all summer long—without the hassle of hand watering.

Another backyard transformation complete! 🌿🏡

We wrapped up this project earlier this week, and what an upgrade it turned out to be. We installed a retaining wall to turn an unusable area into a beautiful seating space perfect for relaxing and spending time with family and friends.

A big shoutout to Christian Dugan for installing the new cedar-tone deck for our customer creating the perfect transition from the house to the backyard. This space went from having very little usable area to over 600 square feet of functional outdoor living space!

Another one complete!

Water issues around your home can quickly turn into major problems if they aren’t handled properly. This sunroom had severe drainage issues caused by landscape beds sloping toward the house and trapping water against the foundation.

We excavated the entire area, regraded everything to properly slope water away from the home, and installed a French drain along the side to create a long-term solution.
