We've got some work happening up in Ames! 🐾🐴

Our crew has been busy at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, working on the Ward 3 Expansion for the Large Animal Ward.

Our scope on this unique project includes painting precast, CMU, and drywall surfaces, high-performance coatings, open-to-structure and drywall ceilings, exposed steel, overhead doors, window glazing, and exterior stair railings.

One thing that makes this project a little different from our typical jobsite is the equine treadmill pit, which is not something you get to see everyday.

It's pretty cool to see the work going into a facility dedicated to veterinary medicine, and we're glad to have a hand in bringing this expansion together.

Giving back to the communities that have supported us over the years is something that means a lot to our team at JC Toland.

Last Thursday, we had the opportunity to serve as the Presenting Sponsor for the 100 Men On A Mission Golf Outing, benefiting Miracle Travel Works, Inc.

100 Men On A Mission brings together men from across the Des Moines area with one goal: making a difference right here in our community. This year’s outing supported Miracle Travel Works, a nonprofit that helps ease the financial burden of travel for families seeking life-saving medical treatment for their children.

The rain definitely made an appearance, but that didn’t stop everyone from showing up for a great cause!

A big thank you to 100 Men On A Mission, everyone who came out, and all those who helped make the day possible. Your support reaches far beyond one event, helping charities, organizations, and nonprofits throughout the Des Moines community make a real impact. ⛳👏

Everyone meet Jay, our Q3 Foreman Spotlight! 👏

Jay has been with JC Toland for 15 years and has spent 27 years in the painting industry. His favorite part of the trade? The instant gratification of seeing the work come together.

Jay describes his biggest strength as keeping his nose to the grindstone. As a foreman, he enjoys being right there in the field working alongside his crew. When we asked about his most memorable project, there wasn't one specific one. For him, it’s the people he works with that make a job memorable.

Outside of work, Jay is an open book. He loves bluegrass and blues, is extremely proud of his two grandkids, owns way too many JC Toland hoodies, and firmly believes The Grateful Dead is the most overrated band ever. 😂

We appreciate everything you’ve brought to JC Toland over the last 15 years, Jay! Here’s to another 15? 👀👏

🎉 10 YEARS! 🎉

We're celebrating a big milestone for our Vice President & Sr Project Manager, Steve Chase: 10 years with JC Toland!

Over the years, Steve has had a hand in some of our biggest and most complex projects. But, beyond the projects themselves, he's someone who knows how to build relationships. He's earned a lot of trust from our clients over the years, and he brings that same level of experience and presence to our team every day, both in the field and in the office.

He's been a huge part of JC Toland's growth over the last 10 years, and we're incredibly lucky to have him on our team.

Congrats on 10 years, Steve! We appreciate everything you’ve put into JC Toland and everything you continue to bring to the table. 👏

FORE🏌️⛳

We had a great time at ChildServe's Golf FORE the Kids outing on Monday!

This year’s outing raised more than $198,000 to help ChildServe continue their important mission of providing specialized care and support to kids and families across our community. A great day on the course for an even better cause.

And as a little bonus, our crew managed to sneak into 2nd place! 🏆 Not too shabby. 😉

Great weather, a great cause, and a great day on the course. At the end of the day, it’s all FORE the kids! ⛳
