Crews are making progress at Project Lion near Huxley, where McAninch is preparing the site for a new 142,000 SF cold storage facility.

The scope of work includes stripping 34,000 CY of topsoil and moving approximately 135,000 CY of earthwork. One of the more unique elements of this project has been the installation of shallow French drains—rock trenches placed on the existing grade before fill operations began—to help move near-surface water away from the site.

Heavy rainfall this season has presented challenges, but our crews have done an excellent job proactively sealing and sloping the site to improve drainage and reduce weather-related delays!

Our team is excited to be providing the site development and underground utility work for Four Seasons Plat 2, a new 18-lot residential subdivision in Polk City, IA for MJR Developments.

The project includes 38,135 CY of earthwork, 3,000 LF of 8-inch sanitary sewer, 823 LF of RCP storm sewer, and 3,573 LF of water main installation as we help prepare the site for future homeowners.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with MJR Developments and proud of our crews for delivering quality work while keeping safety and production at the forefront every day!

We are proud to be working on the new Harvest Academy Iowa campus and were excited to attend the recent groundbreaking ceremony celebrating this important milestone!

Phase 1 of the project includes site grading, underground utilities, and paving for two new housing units that will serve as the foundation for a larger campus focused on life coaching and rehabilitation. Through its inspiring mission, Harvest Academy is helping individuals continue to grow, overcome challenges, and make positive changes in their lives. We look forward to seeing the impact this project will have on our community for years to come.

Our team has been hard at work on SE Industrial Phase 1 in Bondurant, the first of a three-phase public infrastructure project for the City of Bondurant, Iowa

This important project will connect the new Vermeer facility and future industrial developments to major roadways, helping support the city's continued growth. Our crews will install approximately 5,900 LF of sanitary sewer, 3,500 LF of storm sewer, and 1,700 LF of water system infrastructure as part of Phase 1.

We're proud to play a role in laying the groundwork for Bondurant's future!

Work is wrapping up at Timberline Village, an eight-lot residential subdivision near Des Moines Christian School in Urbandale, IA.

These highly sought-after lots offered homeowners the best of both worlds: the charm of a mature community and the opportunity to build in a brand-new development near existing retail and restaurants. We are always proud to partner with Knapp Properties, and we appreciate the opportunity to work together on projects that continue to enhance communities across Central Iowa.

Our crews are currently completing the final phases of the project, including handicap ramps, mailbox pads, topsoil respread, and finish grading. The project included more than 31,000 CY of earthwork, 1,700 LF of storm sewer, and 350 LF of watermain. We’re proud to have completed this work with minimal disruption to neighboring residents through careful planning, communication, and coordination.

Work is moving along nicely on our Southbridge Plat 11 project! Building on the success of previous plats we've completed in this residential development, our crews are once again hard at work preparing the next phase for future homeowners. With earthwork operations nearing completion, our utility crews will soon begin installing nearly 25,000 LF of underground infrastructure, including 9,520 LF of storm sewer, 7,500 LF of sanitary sewer, and 7,955 LF of watermain. Once complete, this work will serve 144 new single-family homes!

We are honored to continue our partnership with Cramer & Assoc., Inc. and appreciate the opportunity to help support the continued growth of the Adel community.
