“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”

Why did I cross the road?

The garden? Free snacks, a pesticide free place to hide food for the winter, and beautiful spot to hang out.

The gardener? Always good conversation, applies compost keeping the soil rich and easy to dig, and plants things for me (the squirrel, not the client paying for the work).

Iowa Family Gardens Crew? Also very good conversation, on time and comes by on a routine, does the weeding so I (again 🐿️, not human) have fresh soil to eat my garden bounty on and perhaps nap in the sun, and maintain irrigation or other garden plans throughout the seasons.

A little dash of sustainability, whimsy and lunacy.

Are you constantly talking about what you’re growing, seeds, soil, and pest control to anyone who will listen? Yeah, us too.
