For years, sump pumps were built with copper wire motor windings and power cords because copper has long been the better material for building reliable pumps. Then aluminum started showing up. Aluminum may cost less, but it comes with tradeoffs in lifespan and efficiency. The difference shows up over time.
At Pro Series, we don’t build products to be replaced. We build them to keep working, with no planned obsolescence and with better materials where they matter most. “All of our pump motors and power cords are made exclusively with copper material of the highest quality.”
We reviewed an analysis using Monte Carlo modeling with thousands of simulated lifecycles and varying conditions such as rainfall severity, power events, pump wear, and human response time. The results consistently showed that systems built with copper-wound motors are significantly more reliable than those using aluminum wire.
