10yo SunnyKnoll Shenendoah last kidded April 2025. She maintains the lowest epg of our whole herd. She and her 3 daughters maintain the lowest epg of any line here.
Her udder is not below her hocks despite the lack of lateral attachment, her advanced age, years of dam raising, AND being on extended lactation. (Udder pic is from this week.)
Her rear leg set is the best I've seen on any Guernsey and she passes it on to her babies. This picture is her natural leg placement without any adjustment from me.

Shenendoah has an unofficial LA score of 73.

Many would scrap her.
Guernsey breeding requires patience and being able to see beyond limited numerical data. She will never win a show or score high on Linear Appraisal because those things aren't designed for does like her.
Shenendoah is a 10 year old Guernsey doe who is holding herself together VERY well, and that is something to be applauded.
Shanny contributes to our program through her babies, and through milk. I am undecided about whether she will kid again. She wants to, but I've already got 3 daughters and she's milking so well. We might just keep milking for the rest of her forever. ❤️
One thing I do know is she will not be going anywhere.
