HTF Series Mid-Season Recap: Trey Mills

Hitting the ground running in his first full season of Super Late Model racing, 15-year-old Trey Mills of St. Augustine, Fla., has had an impressive first-half of the year during the inaugural season for the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series.

After a 15th-place outing in the tour’s opener at All-Tech Raceway, Mills notched three straight top-10 finishes before breaking through for his first career Super Late Model victory during an HTF Series event at Whynot Motorsports Park in June. Since then, Mills has gathered two more top-10 finishes and was in contention to claim another win during the mid-season finale at Duck River Raceway Park before bad luck struck and knocked him out of the race.

Even with the disappointing result at Duck River, Mills still accumulated enough points to land fourth in the HTF Series mid-season points standings, putting him tops among the tour’s stout group of Aces Renovation Rookie of the Year contenders and earning him $1,500 of the total $17,500 paid out from the tour’s mid-season points fund.

The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series presented by Sweet Victory Apparel Co. returns from its summer break with another visit to Duck River for the $20,000-to-win Deep Fried 75 on Aug. 5. For more information on the series, visit www.htfseries.com

Great place for a drink and some great food! Head to Olcott and take advantage of that and check out Aces work to hide unsightly garbage totes! Also will be painting and adding steps to the great outside area to enjoy a drink and watch’s boats go by in the Harbor!
