Things I’ll be doing this holiday weekend outside of interior design:

🐞 Gardening and pretending I understand what my plants need before they tell me dramatically
🎨 Watercolors(enjoying the process more than the finished piece)
📖 Reading my way through this fresh stack

Turns out creativity needs a little breathing room. Stepping away from projects for a minute usually means coming back with fresher eyes, better ideas, and significantly more dirt under my nails.

The best kid rooms aren’t designed to stay pristine. 🚀🤖🧸

They’re designed to be lived in.

To build forts. Read books. Scatter Lego across the floor. Display treasures collected from the backyard. And evolve as your child grows.

A functional kid’s room makes space for imagination, independence, and a little bit of chaos.

Durable materials, thoughtful storage, and flexible furnishings help the room work hard—without feeling overly precious.

Because childhood is wonderfully messy, and their rooms should support that.

Beautiful? Absolutely.
Perfectly tidy? Probably not.
And that’s exactly the point.

But when it came time to renovate their kitchen, they said, “ Kate, we want you to do this and we want the full experience.”
