I am excited to share some before and after photos from a project we recently completed. We performed an extensive renovation that has significantly transformed the property. Our team prepped and painted all exterior doors, handrails, and twin T concrete ends, while also tuck-pointing and painting the brickwork. We also installed and stained a custom cedar facade into the existing handrails to enhance the aesthetic appeal.

In addition to the cosmetic updates, we completed several structural and functional improvements. This included demoing and removing a damaged CMU wall and installing new windows, locks, and door hardware throughout the property. To improve safety and visibility, we installed new timed property lighting along with decorative lighting above each unit. Finally, we addressed the landscaping by trimming existing trees and removing three large, problematic trees.

In honor of Women in Construction Week, we are proud to recognize our Operations Specialist, Erin Phillips.

Erin brings over 25 years of operational and management experience to Gunn Alexander Construction. She is well-versed in project management methodologies, process engineering, and construction management, always aiming to enhance team productivity and project outcomes.

Before joining our team, Erin spent 15 years in the cannabis and h**p industries as a General Manager and Business Consultant. As President of a publicly traded consulting company, she wrote over 200 license applications, developed a federally trademarked education program, and built four successful brands. Her construction portfolio includes managing the build-out of 12 retail locations, two manufacturing facilities, and over one million square feet of indoor cultivation across multiple states.

Erin’s well-rounded background ranges from working with engineering and design plans to construction and commercial tenant fit-outs. Her expertise in project sequencing, permitting, and compliance makes her an invaluable asset to any project team.

Beyond her professional achievements and her role as a mother of four, Erin has a dedicated background in non-profit work. She has volunteered with numerous organizations, including the Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association, the Global Down Syndrome Foundation, and the Junior Denver Broncos Cheerleading Program.

Chance is a construction professional with over 12 years of industry experience working on large-scale commercial and institutional projects across the United States. His impressive portfolio includes high-profile developments such as The University of Texas Moody Center, the Colorado VA Hospital, and multiple Choctaw Casino projects, as well as extensive work in multifamily residential developments.

With eight years of specialized experience as a Telecommunications and Fire Systems Superintendent, Chance has a proven track record of leading complex low-voltage, life-safety, and infrastructure scopes. For the past four years, he has served as a General Contractor, overseeing full project lifecycles with a dedicated focus on safety, quality, schedule, and cost control.

The installation of the split rail fence with wire mesh is currently underway, ensuring the community's critters remain contained. To mitigate the impact on homeowners, temporary fencing is put in place during construction.
