Across 11 miles, every connection matters.

R&R’s role on the DIA Water Transmission Project spanned an 11-mile proposed water main route from Denver International Airport to Tower Road at E-470, providing comprehensive surveying services along the way.

A corridor of that length moves through changing conditions, ownership areas, and jurisdictional requirements. R&R’s consistent survey information gave project partners a common foundation for design and coordination.

A utility line may follow one path, but getting it there can involve a lot of people.

Municipalities, utility districts, property owners, transportation agencies, contractors, and other project partners can all play a role. Each may bring different requirements, approvals, schedules, and priorities to the table.

Starting that coordination early gives teams more time to resolve right-of-way needs, confirm requirements, plan project phases, and keep important milestones on track.

Keeping everyone aligned is part of keeping the project moving.

Last week, our team had a great time at the Palace Construction Charity Golf Tournament at Arrowhead Golf Club, benefiting Third Way Center. We were happy to join the fun and spend the day catching up with clients, partners, and friends.

Some of the most important parts of a project are the ones you never see.

Before a utility project can move forward, teams need a clear understanding of what’s already there. Existing utilities, drainage systems, easements, access, and other site conditions all influence how a project is designed and built.

The earlier those conditions are understood, the easier it is to make informed decisions, reduce risk, and avoid surprises during construction.
