Gillette College’s Enzi Applied Learning Center will feature a dedicated memorial space celebrating the life and service of Senator Mike Enzi. Through storytelling displays, historic images, and custom-designed graphics integrated throughout the space, the memorial will connect students and visitors to his lasting impact on Wyoming and higher education.

A centerpiece of the memorial will be Senator Enzi’s actual desk from his time in the U.S. Senate, creating a tangible connection to his legacy of leadership and public service. Located adjacent to the Commons, the memorial will serve as both a place of reflection and a source of inspiration for future generations.

At Fletcher Miller School, independence is built through everyday moments.

The Activities of Daily Living (ADL) room is designed to help students develop essential life skills in a supportive, accessible environment. Specialized appliances—including a cooktop with wheelchair clearance below and a side-opening oven—allow students to safely participate in cooking and other daily tasks.

Every building we design starts with a story. Tepeyac Community Health Center’s begins decades before we ever picked up a pencil.

In the early 1990s, a small Catholic parish in North Denver was overwhelmed by neighbors asking for medical and mental health help it had no way to give. At his first parish council meeting, Jim Garcia raised his hand to take on the problem.

As the idea for a clinic took shape, it needed a name. Inspiration came from a folk art exhibit at the Denver Art Museum, a video telling the story of Tepeyac Hill outside Mexico City, tied to centuries-old stories of hope and healing for someone the world had overlooked.

That clinic, built by volunteers in a rundown bungalow, grew into one of Colorado’s most trusted safety-net clinics. Thirty years later, we had the honor of designing its new home — built to carry that same promise forward for the Elyria-Swansea community.

At Fletcher Miller School, learning and therapy aren’t confined to a single room.

Just outside the physical therapy space, a dedicated corridor with integrated rails extends therapy into the everyday experience of the school. By embedding therapeutic opportunities directly into the building, students can practice mobility skills throughout the day while navigating their school environment. Even the corridor walls serve a purpose, demonstrating how intentional design can turn everyday spaces into meaningful tools for learning and independence.

Listen to those excited little voices seeing their future school being built!

Yesterday, we celebrated the topping out of Douglas County School District’s new Elementary School 51 in Sterling Ranch. This celebration was especially memorable because of the excitement from the future school community. Kids were eager to see their new school taking shape, families rode their bikes to join the celebration, and the energy around the site made it clear just how much this new school already means to the Sterling Ranch community.

Designed to serve up to 750 students, Elementary School 51 is scheduled to open in Fall 2027. We’re excited to see the progress continue as this new school gets closer to welcoming its first class!

Check out these bird’s-eye views of the progress at the new Summit Heights Junior High in Adams County School District 14. This future 7th and 8th grade campus will bring together students from across the district, with spaces that encourage collaboration and support the hands-on learning experiences that will define the school. When complete, the campus will feature four career-focused academies, flexible learning spaces, and athletic facilities designed for both student and community use. Every beam, wall, and detail is helping bring that vision to life.

Nobody could have predicted hail in the middle of August... except maybe Chris Bianchi

Our annual company picnic didn’t exactly go according to plan, and Wash Park was quickly off the table. But one of the best things about our team is how quickly people step up, adapt, and make the most of whatever comes our way.

Instead of picnicking in the park, we opened up the office and turned the day into an opportunity for our families to see where we work, meet the people we work alongside every day, and spend time together. Working with people who value not only the work we do together, but also the lives and families behind it, is something we never take for granted.

How do you design a space for what comes next?

At FLORA in Denver’s RiNo Arts District, MOA recently brought two very different commercial projects to life: Chestnut Cellars, a first-generation retail build-out, and a speculative office suite designed for future tenants.

While the users and goals were different, both projects shared a common objective: creating adaptable environments that deliver value today while remaining flexible for tomorrow.

In the latest issue of Colorado Construction & Design Magazine, Marcus Appleby explores how thoughtful workplace and retail design can help businesses and developments evolve over time.

Hanover Elementary School is open! 🎉

This day has been a long time coming. After years of advocacy and perseverance, Hanover students and staff are beginning the school year in a transformed learning environment. Through this BEST-funded project, the school gained 12,725 square feet of new space and 4,000 square feet of renovations, bringing seven new classrooms, a secure entry vestibule, a media center, an expanded kitchen, facility upgrades, and a reverse osmosis water system.

For a community that spent years working toward these improvements, the impact is hard to overstate. Students now have access to spaces and resources that many take for granted, including a dedicated library and clean, reliable drinking water. What was once a building struggling to meet the community’s needs is now a place designed to support learning, curiosity, and opportunity for years to come.

Thank you to the Hanover School District 28 community, staff, and students for the incredible collaboration that made this project possible. Here’s to a new chapter of learning and growth!
