Did you know Forget Me Not • Denver used to be a house?

Forget Me Not is a great example of how adaptive reuse can completely transform an existing space. Ta**us Builders reimagined the former residence with a full interior demolition, a reframed roof structure, lowered floor elevation, custom millwork, banquette seating and new back-of-house areas, creating a space designed for an entirely new experience.

Thoughtful construction doesn't always start from the ground up. Sometimes it starts by seeing what's possible in an existing building.

Opening up a building isn't as simple as removing a wall. 🛠️

For Aviano Coffee Boulder inside the Moxy Boulder, one of the biggest challenges was modifying the existing curtain wall to install three overhead doors, creating a seamless connection between the café and its outdoor patio.

Executing that work inside an active hotel required careful coordination, precise planning and a commitment to minimizing disruptions while delivering a high-end finish. The result is a space filled with natural light, fresh air and the flexibility to open completely to the street.

Shelving is one of the hardest-working elements behind the bar. It has to support the pace of service, showcase the spirit selection and become part of the guest experience all at once.

How do you make a large, open restaurant feel intimate without building walls?

That was one of the defining challenges our team took on at Molino Chido at Stanley Marketplace.

Working alongside REGULAR Architecture, our team delivered a redesigned central bar, custom millwork and sculptural concrete planters that help define the space while maintaining an open, connected atmosphere. Together, these elements create natural gathering areas, guide circulation and break down the scale of the dining room without sacrificing visual connection.

Rather than relying on traditional walls, the space is organized through carefully executed architectural features that create distinct experiences throughout the restaurant while preserving the energy of the larger room.
