Transforming a raw space into a headquarters worthy of a longstanding Denver business came with no shortage of complexity.

For The Gart Companies’ new 7,045-square-foot headquarters, our team navigated significant structural modifications to the existing post-tension concrete, along with extensive curtainwall and glazing modifications, to make way for a new outdoor patio and a seamless indoor/outdoor connection.

Inside, the level of detail continued. Rich woodwork and ultra-high-end finishes were meticulously installed throughout the office, creating a polished backdrop for family heirlooms that tell the story of generations of the Gart family.

The finished space brings together the history of the company, the craftsmanship of the build and the modern workplace experience, all under one roof.

Did you know Forget Me Not • Denver used to be a house?

Forget Me Not is a great example of how adaptive reuse can completely transform an existing space. Ta**us Builders reimagined the former residence with a full interior demolition, a reframed roof structure, lowered floor elevation, custom millwork, banquette seating and new back-of-house areas, creating a space designed for an entirely new experience.

Thoughtful construction doesn't always start from the ground up. Sometimes it starts by seeing what's possible in an existing building.

Great hospitality starts behind the scenes.

Every memorable dining experience depends on a back-of-house that's built to perform. At Hop Alley, we constructed a kitchen designed for efficiency, durability and the fast pace of restaurant service, helping the team deliver an exceptional experience every time.

The best restaurants aren't just thoughtfully designed where guests can see them. They're thoughtfully built from front to back.

Opening up a building isn't as simple as removing a wall. 🛠️

For Aviano Coffee Boulder inside the Moxy Boulder, one of the biggest challenges was modifying the existing curtain wall to install three overhead doors, creating a seamless connection between the café and its outdoor patio.

Executing that work inside an active hotel required careful coordination, precise planning and a commitment to minimizing disruptions while delivering a high-end finish. The result is a space filled with natural light, fresh air and the flexibility to open completely to the street.

Outdoor spaces deserve the same level of intention as the interiors.

Every design decision matters, from fire features and seating layouts to lighting, shade and circulation. When those elements work together, a rooftop becomes more than an amenity. It becomes a destination.

We're proud to have brought the rooftop experience at Sorry Gorgeous Rooftop to life, creating a space designed to be enjoyed season after season.

A great bar does more than serve drinks. It sets the tone for everything that follows.

Shelving is one of the hardest-working elements behind the bar. It has to support the pace of service, showcase the spirit selection and become part of the guest experience all at once.

Each project calls for a different approach, but the goal stays the same: creating spaces that are as functional behind the bar as they are memorable from the other side.

The most important design decisions aren't always at eye level.

Flooring is one of the hardest-working elements in any hospitality space. It needs to stand up to constant traffic while supporting the atmosphere, guiding movement and complementing every finish around it.

Pattern, scale and material all play a role in how a space looks, feels and performs.

At Ta**us Builders, every finish is installed with care because great spaces are built from the ground up.
