The Mighty Argo cable car. Now here is a fun project. If you’ve ever driven on I-70 near Idaho Springs you have seen the historic Argo Mill. The old mine area is getting a cool new amenity – a 1.2 mile long gondola. Visitors will ride in glass-bottomed gondolas to the top where they can enjoy the view, hike, ride their mountain bikes back down and more. Doorways is pleased to have provided the hollow metal doors and associated hardware for this attraction that is set to open by the end of the month. That’s a lot of doors! Yesterday we shipped out dozens of hollow metal doors to the new Upton Residences, formerly called Block 176. These dual, high-rise towers are Denver’s largest condominium development in more than a decade with over 400 units. We are proud to have partnered with Amacon Construction in adding these beautiful new buildings to the Mile High City’s skyline. In all, Doorways will be providing over 500 metal doors and 600 wood doors to the project, all with the associated hardware.

Holiday closure announcement! Doorways will be closed from Wednesday, December 24, 2025 through Friday, January 2, 2026. This extended closure is done as recognition for our employees’ hard work throughout the year and to celebrate as we enter our 40th year of operation under our owner. Heavy metal for Project Waterfall. Still under construction, it may not look like much now, but soon, this manufacturing facility will employ hundreds of people in Aurora. This week we delivered some of the 400+ hollow metal frames that will go into this facility. Naturally, we are also providing the doors and hardware. We are proud to have partnered with Haskell and Ware Malcomb on what will be an economic and job generator.
