Aspendale Littleton | Littleton, CO

Located along C-470 in Littleton, Colorado, this active adult community takes advantage of expansive western views while addressing highway noise through strategically placed detached garages that act as sound barriers. The elongated, sloping site shaped a highly articulated building form, with varied massing and balconies creating a dynamic façade while helping break up sound along the highway edge.
The building steps into the hillside, allowing portions of the community to read as three stories, while a fully enclosed pool courtyard creates a protected outdoor amenity away from highway noise.

Moraine | Longmont, CO

Inspired by the landscape, shaped by its surroundings
Named for the glacial formations that helped shape Colorado's mountain terrain, Moraine draws inspiration from the natural landscape, connecting community, architecture, and the outdoors with views towards Longs Peak.
A spacious, single-story clubhouse anchors the community, while a west-facing pool deck creates a welcoming hub for gathering, relaxing, and enjoying the surrounding views.
Designed around an active, resort-inspired lifestyle, amenities are thoughtfully distributed throughout the site encouraging residents to connect, spend time outdoors, and embrace healthy, active way of living.

Holly 38 | Denver, CO

Designed for community, connection, and access to affordable housing, 38th & Holly brings a mix of stacked apartments and three-story townhomes to North Park Hill.

The project required navigating a complex entitlement process, including Denver’s Large Development Review, the dedication of Ivy Street through the site, and the integration of public open space throughout the development. As one of the first projects to be approved through Denver’s Affordable Housing Review Team (AHRT), 38th & Holly will contribute much-needed affordable housing to North Park Hill.

Broadstone Sterling Ranch

Completed in 2024
Set within the master-planned community of Sterling Ranch, near Chatfield Reservoir and Roxborough State Park, this 332 unit development introduces the community’s first multifamily residential offering. The project is organized as a cohesive campus of three and four story residential buildings, completed by detached garages, carports, and a dedicated tenant storage building.
The architectural expression draws inspiration from Colorado’s historic mining vernacular while introducing a contemporary interpretation. A palette of natural stone, wood, and metal creates a warm, regionally inspired character, while modern roof forms and structural elements give the design a distinctly current aesthetic.
Serving as the centerpiece of the community, the four-story building houses the primary clubhouse and amenity spaces, with direct access to the pool and spa. Its fourth floor rooftop deck provides expansive, uninterrupted views towards Waterton Canyon and the Highline Canal Headwaters to the west.

Littleton Apartments

Tenant improvement of a 796 SF aesthetic spa within a three-story mixed-use building. 
The design creates a warm, serene, and contemporary environment through a simple and refined material palette. Natural wood millwork, soft neutral tones, curved architectural elements, and layered lighting work together to create a welcoming atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and approachable.
Custom built-ins and arched niches are integrated throughout the reception and lounge areas, providing functional storage and product display while adding visual character to the space. The overall design balances the clean functionality of an aesthetic practice with the comfort and warmth of a hospitality-inspired interior.

I “Heart” Denver, Our City, Our Home brought to you by Team Santulan + CANstruction. About 2,742 cans are on display at Cherry Creek from now until October 24th. This can-structure will serve as a donation to Denverites experiencing food insecurity. Ingredients include: peaches, potatoes, corn, black beans, peas, northern great beans, sweet peas, tomatoes and red kidney beans. However, we would like to think the main ingredient in our structure is teamwork.
