This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

At Arlington National Cemetery, the tradition of “Flags In” places American flags at the gravesites of those who served. Each flag stands for more than a name carved in stone. It represents a life, a family, a sacrifice, and someone who did not come home.

As many of us gather with family and friends this weekend, fire up the grill, and enjoy the freedoms we are blessed with, we also remember the cost of those freedoms.

To the fallen, we owe more than a moment of silence. We owe remembrance, gratitude, and the responsibility to never take this life for granted.

From all of us at Asphalt Specialties, have a safe Memorial Day weekend.

🔥 Safety stays sharp when skills stay fresh.

As part of our annual MSHA renewals, the Wolfpack at Asphalt Specialties completed Fire Extinguisher Training to review proper extinguisher use, emergency response, and the importance of acting quickly and safely in the event of a fire.

Training like this helps keep our crews prepared, confident, and ready to protect themselves and those around them on every job site.

Safety is not just a requirement. It is part of who we are.

The team was out in Westminster today getting it done, raising manholes and water valves with skill, grit, and precision.

These guys are a huge part of what keeps our projects rolling, and we’re proud of the work they put in every single day.

This week at Asphalt Specialties, we brought our professional drivers in for two days of Defensive Driving training, because the road is basically a living, breathing plot twist.

Big thanks to the Rock Stars at Front Range Compliance for leading a course that helps drivers:

✅ Understand what defensive driving really means
✅ Recognize hazards faster
✅ Anticipate actions before they turn into problems
✅ React confidently to a wide range of driving scenarios

We’re honored to share that Asphalt Specialties has been named the recipient of the 2025 Urban Highway Resurfacing Award from the Asphalt Paving Association, after being nominated by the Colorado Department of Transportation.

Out of 350 votes, we received 339.

After nearly 40 years in the asphalt industry, Bob Gindro is officially retired!

Bob, your hard work, leadership, and dedication helped pave the way for so many of us at Asphalt Specialties and across the industry. Your impact is built to last, just like the roads you helped create.

Now it’s time for new adventures, great travels with your wife, and some well-earned relaxation.
