Thanks to youtube,I learned how to sharpen a chainsaw so I didn't have to pay someone else. 😂 It cracks me up when I tell my children that when us folks from the 1900's wanted to learn somethin' we had to check out books from the library, buy magazines, or find someone to teach us 📚 🏫🤓

Instead of chasing what's trending to make sales, I've been making things "needed" for the house -- something I haven't given much focus on in a long time. It's how I got started woodworking in the first place. It's been such a joy to return to that mindset 🥰

I WANT A BOWL but I don't have a lathe...sooooo what do I do?!? Oh yeah, use the tools I DO have, durrrr. 🤡🤣

In woodworking, there's often more than one way to accomplish something. It may not be the quickest, most efficient or glamorous way, but it reaches the same goal.

I just wanted a bowl. 2 years later I got my bowl. 🥰

You don't know until you try! 💁‍♀️ I've been selling planter boxes locally for the last few years, and for the first time someone asked if I could add a 4x4x8 so they could use it to string lights on their back porch. This particular request wasn't an extravagant one, but then I realized this is how the majority of my custom orders have started lol 😂
