WIC Week was fantastic! We are so proud to have been present at every single event this week — here’s a look at how we spent each day. 🏗️

📍 Monday — CEMEX Plant Tour
An early morning well spent. Watching the scale and precision behind concrete production gave us a whole new appreciation for the trades. It truly takes a lot to get that concrete to you!

📍 Tuesday — GC/Sub Contractor Panel hosted by Mader Southeast and we were happy to help sponsor.
Our President, Joslynn, was invited to represent the Sub Contractor perspective. Great group, honest conversation, and so much to take away.

📍 Wednesday — Site Sister Kits hosted by Competitive Edge Partners and Consulting LLC
We assembled kits filled with essential items for women on job sites. A simple idea with a powerful impact.

📍 Thursday — Community Outreach at The Russell Home for Atypical Children
We helped paint doors and ended with an ice cream social. A truly wonderful home doing extraordinary work for people with special needs. 🍦

📍 Friday — Mills & Nebraska Cook Out & Warehouse Tour
We wrapped the week seeing how large-scale door orders come to life — and heard from Stephanie Bowman of One Heart for Women & Children, an organization doing incredible work for women and children in need.

This week was impactful, engaging, and motivating. To every host, speaker, and attendee — thank you for making WIC Week something truly worth celebrating. 💛🔨

From humble beginnings to a niche specialty — this is where it all started. 🏗️

Gravity Services’ very first job was at Orlando International Airport — working on the parking garage at the C Terminal. We were definitely the little guys.

Ken was on the machine. Joslynn was the laborer. And when we needed more hands, we called in some day labor to help us push through.

Together, we broke hundreds of auger cast piles — and this project is where we truly perfected our craft.

Here’s the thing most people don’t know: pile breaking is one of those line items that estimators either overlook entirely or severely underbid.

We took that gap in the market and made it our niche specialty.

Once the piles are broken to the correct elevation, the concrete crews move in to tie the rebar into the cages — it’s a critical step in the foundation process, and it deserves to be treated that way.

Ken makes it look easy. It’s not. It takes the right equipment, the right technique, and a skill set that’s been sharpened job by job — starting right here at OIA.

Women in Construction Week starts tomorrow — and we’re kicking it off with a CEMEX plant tour! 🏗️

In May 2017, Ken and Joslynn Wiese set out to build something different — a company that puts integrity, leadership, and passion at the foundation of every project.
Ken brings over 35 years of hands-on experience in the construction field, with extensive expertise in heavy equipment operation and civil work. He holds Florida State Licenses for both General Contractor and Underground Utilities — a testament to the depth of knowledge and craftsmanship he brings to every job site.
Joslynn joined the industry alongside Ken in 2017, bringing a strong background in customer service and safety-related functions that has helped shape the culture and standards we hold ourselves to every single day.
