June kicks off National Safety Month, and for HVAC techs working on rooftops, in mechanical rooms, and within confined spaces, heat-related illness is a real threat. Follow these steps to prevent heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
☑️ HYDRATE: Drink water every 15-20 minutes, even if you're not thirsty
☑️ DRESS SMART: Light-colored, loose-fitting, breathable clothing
☑️ TAKE BREAKS: Rest in shade or AC every hour in extreme heat
☑️ KNOW YOUR LIMITS: Watch for fatigue and use the buddy system
