After using my backhoe to excavate ,I poured a small 8x8 slab this week for a customer's cystern.. I showed him how to form a step for his home and we poured that as well. We used up the remaining concrete to create boat moorings in some old tires I had kicking around.. it was a fun little project.

I got back to Green Lake to get the camp ready for family to visit. I'm happy with the end result.

I had a customer on Green Lake call me after the Christmas storm, telling me a huge tree fell on her camp. I went and look at it.. and recommended Atwell Edgcomb to remove the tree and I would make the structure safe and tight until spring. Atwell removed the tree last week and today I went to the site today and we jacked the roof rafters straight. Removed the broken window and glass shards.. covered the hole with OSB, removed the tarp the neighbor graciously hung and rescrewed the roofing down and cleaned up the site...

Dedham peeps... A smallish (30lbs) brown dog has been seen around the corner of the Bald Mountain Road and Johnson Rd.

I'm excited to have installed the cabinet I've been building in my shop this summer. My customer was extremely patient. I'm pleased with the outcome.

The recent rainy days have helped me gain on the cabinet project. I certainly am NOT a cabinet maker by any means, but I'm pleased with the results thus far... I sure am slow...

her rental camp.

More progress on the addition project. I had great help on Monday and Tuesday . We got the walls framed and up with collar ties installed. We also cut all of the rafters to get me set up for solo work for the rest of the week. Wednesday I got the common rafters up and started the finicky hip rafters . Thursday I finished the hip rafters framing and sheathed half the roof. ( A lot of up and down the ladder work for an old guy).. Friday was a short day sheathing the remainder of the roof. Monday will be installing the ice and water shield to tie the roofs together and water tight!!
