🏡 Project Spotlight: North Druid Hills Transformation

There is nothing quite like the charm of a mid-century historic home, and we recently had the pleasure of adding a custom touch to this beauty in North Druid Hills!

Our team designed and built a custom front door portico that extends over the existing stone steps, providing much-needed covered access while perfectly complementing the home's original character.

The Details:

Seamless Integration: The new structure ties directly into the existing roofline, with eaves aligned to keep the original wall-mounted lighting in place.

Classic Aesthetic: The front gable is supported by crisp white columns, perfectly matching the home’s striking black-and-white exterior.

Architectural Continuity: We used lap siding on the gable to ensure the new addition looks like it’s always been there.

The best part of this project? Our clients loved the result so much that they’ve officially brought us back to begin an extensive interior remodel! There is no higher compliment than being invited back into a client's home for the next phase of their vision.

💔 Our hearts are heavy.
Our dear friend and long-term craftsman, Oscar, has lost everything in a devastating house fire — his home, his belongings, his tools, his work vehicles, his materials… and all of his family’s personal savings.

If you know Oscar, you know he’s the first person to show up when someone needs help. Whether it’s fixing something at your home, lending a hand with your car, or simply offering a smile — he’s always there. He is the sole provider for his family, and now he’s facing the unimaginable.

To make matters even harder, Oscar did not have insurance, so there will be no assistance to help them rebuild.

We have started a GoFundMe account (see link in comments) to help Oscar, his wife Tina, and their three children — Sam, Max, and Jesus — begin rebuilding their lives. The funds raised will go directly toward replacing essential belongings, tools, and materials so Oscar can get back to work and continue supporting his family.
