Too many primary bathrooms play it safe... white on white, nothing to offend anyone, nothing to remember either. This bathroom we designed for a client in Druid Hills not only meets practical needs but also provides a joyful and refreshing environment, reflecting the owners’ personality and love for unique, colorful design. The owners wanted the renovation to align with the overall design language of their home, aiming for a modern aesthetic that still felt warm and inviting (not cold or overly minimal!). We love that this design - the wood-planked ceiling, floral wallpaper, penny tile in blue and white that flows throughout - feels just as right in an Atlanta suburb as it does in a coastal retreat 🩵

During Paris DECO OFF, Loro Piana transformed a private Paris apartment into a temporary showroom — a space that felt as much lived-in as it was curated.

The apartment belongs to artist Candida Romero, who opened her home for the week, while also providing visitors with a preview of her latest art series alongside the Loro Piana collection. We learned that the apartment itself was built by Gustave Eiffel, using materials from the Eiffel Tower — a quiet architectural detail that made the experience even more remarkable!

Ili also learned that Candida is from Puerto Rico, where Ili grew up, creating an unexpected and deeply personal connection. We left with three of her pieces that now carry the memory of the space, the story, and the exchange that unfolded there.

A reminder that the most meaningful design moments are layered: architecture, art, history, and human connection.

Faced with a nondescript one-story bungalow, Terracotta transformed the home into a Victorian-inspired two-story, reflecting the character of Atlanta’s Candler Park neighborhood and punching up the home’s exterior color palette 🎨

Looking through the lens of this historic project, we’re reminded that the most meaningful homes honor every family member – including the four-legged ones who leave paw prints on our hearts. 🐕

When we photographed this historic beauty, we knew we had to capture the soul of the home, which included this distinguished gentleman making his grand entrance.

Though he’s no longer with us, his legacy lives on in impeccable style – from the custom portrait that commands attention in the powder room to the memories woven into every corner of this thoughtfully restored space.

We believe great design isn’t just about beautiful objects; it’s about honoring the stories, the love, and yes, even the beloved pets who make a house truly feel like home 💙
