Today we celebrated the 40th anniversary for two of our Foremen. Congrats Allan Hutto and Edwin Hill and thank you for all the years of service to Hubbard & Drake. This is a huge milestone and these guys are two of the best around.

We're proud to help support our local high schools, especially when it comes to community service projects. We were able to help these students from Priceville High School by providing them some safety gear while they did some cleanup work on the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge. Thank you to Mrs. Buchanan, Mrs. Beidleman, Coach Linley, and Mr. Hays and allowing us to help support this work.

Congratulations to Jayden Culver of Lawrence County Career Technical Center, Alabama for placing 3rd nationally in the KWI National Senior Welding Competition this past weekend in Kentucky. With over 200 contestants from 28 states, this is a remarkable accomplishment.

Hubbard & Drake is proud to have helped sponsor Lawrence County Career Technical Center for this event. Jayden is a wonderful young man who we've had the pleasure of meeting several times. Lawrence County Career Technical Center, Alabama continually produces exceptional welding students with the help of their instructor, Mr. Brian Tidwell.

Today was the conclusion of Hubbard & Drakes 1st annual High School Welding Competition. Our final 3 contestants represented Career Academies of Decatur, MCS Technology Park, and Lawrence County Career Technical Center, Alabama. This round was held at H&D's office where the students got to meet and learn from senior management, as well as, leading industry experts.

These students demonstrated their exceptional technical skill, precision, and adherence to the highest standards of fabrication for structural welding applications.

A special thank you to the instructors and administrators from these schools for producing such talented welders and students. I would also like to recognize Holston Gases for their continued support of the trades. Holston generously donated some of the prizes for this competition. Lastly, a big thanks to the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce for everything they do to support workforce development in our area.
