❄️ ❄️ In preparation for the upcoming weather, please be sure your exposed pipes are insulated, a heat source is placed (if possible) near well equipment and well head and leave a small stream of water running from multiple faucets to keep your pump cycling regularly to help keep pipes warm. Well water is 68 degrees year around so when fresh water is pumped through the pipes, it warms them and the insulation helps hold that heat in until the pump cycles again. 🥶 Should your well freeze, turn power off so your pump does not burn itself up or falling off the pipe down hole, inside your well, due to over heating the pipe. The colder the weather the larger the stream or more faucets that should be left running with a small steady stream. We will be seeing single digit temps and going multiple days below freezing so please be vigilant! For any additional questions, please reach out!
