Spring is finally here and so is nicer weather! Warmer, sunnier, and certainly windier days make drying your clothes on a clothesline more enjoyable! Nothing beats the smell of freshly dried clothes hung outside in the warm sunny air! That's what this customer wanted in there backyard, so they contacted JLS Innovative Solutions LLC. to see if they could make it happen. The plant hangers were an addition my customer wanted and I thought that was a very clever and beautifying way to dress up the clothesline.

So, in a previous post, I teased the transformation of a walk-in closet...

My customer wanted to convert this space into a full master bathroom! There was actually a toilet and sink installed on the back wall where the new shower was built. It had not been used in years, so the toilet and sink were removed and where the toilet sat, JLS Innovative Solutions used the discharge plumbing for a shower drain!

My customer wanted to finish the rest of the bathroom after the shower, toilet, and flooring was installed.

Hello fans, friends, and family of JLS Innovative Solutions!!! I just wanted to post about the completion of my latest project. I had the pleasure to renovate a home in Decatur for a wonderful family! JLS installed a brand new kitchen, new floors, and new interior doors, as well as many other fixes that popped up unexpectedly along the way! It was a big project, but JLS Innovative Solutions performed the job with excellence! Please enjoy these before and after photos.

Don't let a small leak turn into a big problem. This customer discovered a leak in his crawlspace after an unusually high usage of water softener salt. On top of that, the leak started to cause mold growth on the subfloor and floor joints. After I repaired the leak, the mold can be delta with using a disinfectant.

Sometimes it is necessary to replace the deck boards on your back deck even though they were painted, stained, and cleaned regularly. Time, traffic, and the elements will eventually breakdown that decking. This customer chose to re-deck with Trex boards and their hidden fastener system. The extra trim work really makes the deck stand out and gives it a fresh new look!

While the deck boards are off, it is a good opportunity to assess the health of the deck structure. In this case, the deck needed to be leveled and blocking added to straighten out the joists. In addition, the rim joists were secured with new 6" lag screws. Now this deck has been brought back to life and is ready for many more years of fun, barbequing, and relaxing enjoyment!

The same customer who was victimized by the scam artist "contractor" also had a shower project they were "working" on. ...

The same customer who was victimized by the scam artist "contractor" also had a shower project they were "working" on. The tiled floor had failed due to the Styrofoam backer board coming loose from the adhesive. This made the floor bouncy, and grout does not like soft subflooring. So to fix it, JLS Innovative Solutions busted out the mortar and foam backer. In addition, I also laid another layer of 23/32 OSB to firm up the shower floor. Then a layer of 1/2" GoBoard was secured in place with screws and adhesive and then sealed with an aqua sealant. The new tiled floor was mortared and grouted on top of a firm foundation, lol! I think it turned out really nice!

The first few pictures show how the contractor left the shower before he split...what a mess.
