Nothing strange going on over here, just giving my plant a car ride.

Last year I was doing some tree pruning and accidentally cut a branch with a praying mantis egg sack on it. Each egg each can contain anywhere from 50-400 eggs that hatch into live baby mantises. Only 1%-20% survive due to sibling cannibalism, starvation, and predators.

All that being said- I have come across countless of these awesome insects in my garden areas which just makes me tickled pink! They hunt and eat destructive bugs that damage vegetables and flowers- using zero fertilizers -yes please!

 I’ve seen quite a few this season, but this is definitely the largest so far.
