Here’s a preview of our UK country home inspired residence that we are beginning construction on this summer. The core of the home is a small beautiful timber framed cabin that we are surrounding with smaller additions and extending a carriage house to the north. The clients goals are to create a new home that will feel as old as the homes they lived in throughout their life in the UK only on a quiet lake in northern Wisconsin. This one will be fun!

I love seeing all of the details that were worked on over months come together in the field. Excited to see the progress in the coming months towards completion. When you don’t have a tree on the property for a tree house, you build one. Found these amazing shingles from to create the form of a trunk from the rear. Raw cedar framing creates a carved interior from which a cube volume extends to create space overlooking the yard and adjacent riverfront.
