🔥🏠 FIRE-DAMAGED HOME — MULTI-STAGE TRANSFORMATION

This project is a good example of why rebuilding after a fire has to happen one stage at a time — and in the right order.

We started by rebuilding the fire-damaged exterior wall and bringing the framing back to code. From there, we’ve continued closing the structure back in:

🔨 Reframed the damaged exterior wall
🧱 Installed new wall and ceiling insulation
🪵 Installed new OSB exterior sheathing
🏠 Installed house wrap to protect the structure
🪟 Next up: We’re waiting on the custom window to arrive
🏡 Final exterior stage: New siding once the window is installed

There’s still more work ahead, but this house has already come a long way from where we started.

Fire damage doesn’t get fixed with a cosmetic patch. It gets rebuilt from the structure out.

🏚️➡️🏠 FROM HOARDER HOUSE TO A COMPLETE TRANSFORMATION!

When we first stepped into this West Dayton property, we knew this wasn’t going to be your average remodel. The house had been used as a hoarder house, with areas of trash piled nearly 5 feet high.

Before we could rebuild anything, we had to reclaim the property. Four 20-yard dumpsters later, we finally had a house we could start putting back together. 💪🔨

From there, DBowling Contracting LLC went to work.

🔨 Complete property cleanout & demolition
🏠 Kitchen completely reconfigured and rebuilt
🚿 Bathroom completely renovated
💡 Interior lighting upgrades in collaboration with Affordable Electric Services LLC
🧱 Extensive drywall and ceiling repairs
🎨 Fresh paint throughout
🪵 New flooring and finish work
🪟 Window and exterior improvements
⚫ Burgundy exterior trim transformed to black, along with the gutters, giving the exterior a much cleaner, updated look

And these before-and-after pictures of the kitchen and bathroom show just how far this property has come.

This is the kind of project where the finished pictures only tell half the story. A tremendous amount of demolition, repair, cleanup and rebuilding had to happen before the transformation you see today was possible.

Not every flooring job is as simple as it looks. 🛠️

LVP flooring holds up well in kitchens, bathrooms, and high-traffic areas, but the finished product only looks as good as the prep work underneath it. That means removing the old flooring, checking the subfloor for damage, and making sure the surface is level and clean before anything gets installed.

Skip that step and you’ll see it later — in gaps, movement, or an uneven finish.

Out with the old, charred past and in with a solid future! We just finished tearing out a heavily fire-damaged wall and completely rebuilding it from the ground up.
Here’s what went down on this project:
🪓 Demo: Ripped out the fire-charred wall down to the structure.
📐 Reframe: Rebuilt the wall framing for max strength and stability.
🖼️ Custom Touches: Resized and reframed the window opening + rebuilt the gable framing to set up a brand new exterior profile.
