Good evening,

I am sure you have heard about Winter Storm Blair due to hit us Sunday through Tuesday. Although the forecast can change it is looking like 5” to 8” for most of our service area from Indy over to Columbus and Shelby County to just north of The Ohio River. Our service areas south of the that may see more ice mixed in, but this all depends on the track the storm actually takes. Either way it will be a mess, especially for the Monday morning commute. We fully expect there to be multiple delay’s & closings. Along with road closures due to accidents and local Storm Emergencies issued. On top of that it will usher in extremely cold temperatures, making our deicing material less effective.

Groundskeeper Crews will be out ahead of the storm to apply deicing materials to keep the snow and ice from bonding to the pavement. Some of the heaviest snow will come Monday morning, rest assured our crews are out and working though our sites to service them. They will be slowed by traffic on the roads and snow will come down so heavy at times your facilities most likely will be snow covered from time to time. We expect to have everything cleared by Tuesday morning. Crews will also need to rotate to get rest as the storm moves though.

Please be patient and give us time to do what we can to get through this.

We appreciate your partnership and this will all be behind us soon.

Sincerely,

Myron

Currently a Winter Storm Watch, We fully expect this to be upgraded to a Winter Storm Warning.
