πŸ‚ Hello, September!

Fall leaves are beautiful, but when they clog your gutters, they can lead to serious water damage. Blocked gutters cause water to overflow, pooling around your foundation, leaking into basements, or backing up under your roofβ€”leading to costly repairs you didn’t plan for.

🍁 Fall Home Protection Tips:
βœ… Clean gutters regularly, especially after heavy leaf drops.
βœ… Check downspouts to ensure water flows away from your home.
βœ… Inspect your roof for missing shingles before heavy autumn rains.
βœ… Trim branches near your roof to reduce debris buildup.
βœ… Watch for soft spots or staining near ceilings after storms.

Taking care of your home now prevents water damage laterβ€”and keeps your fall stress-free.

If water damage strikes despite your best efforts, Maximum Restoration is here 24/7 to help you recover quickly and safely.

Quick question... when was the last time you looked behind your washing machine?

If your answer is "I honestly don't remember" πŸ˜‚ you are definitely not alone.

Washing machine hoses are one of those things we never think about because they just work... until they don't.

Over time, hoses can weaken, crack, or fail. And when that happens, you aren't dealing with a small dripβ€”you can have hundreds of gallons of water released into your home in a short amount of time.

The good news?

This is one of those simple home maintenance tasks that can make a HUGE difference.

βœ… Replace old hoses about every 5 years.
βœ… Check for cracks, bulges, rust, or signs of leaking.
βœ… Make sure connections are secure.
βœ… Consider upgrading to braided stainless steel hoses if you haven't already.

A couple of inexpensive hoses and a few minutes of your time could save you from a major water damage headache later.

Okay, we have to know... πŸ‘€

πŸƒ Mold doesn't need much to get comfortable.

Warm temperatures + moisture + time = the perfect environment for mold growth, and summer humidity can make hidden moisture problems even easier to miss.

Some of the most common places we see mold start hiding:

πŸ‘€ Under sinks β€” especially around plumbing connections where small leaks can go unnoticed.
πŸ‘€ Around toilets and bathrooms β€” anywhere water is frequently present.
πŸ‘€ Behind appliances β€” refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, and water heaters can create hidden moisture issues.
πŸ‘€ Around windows β€” condensation and moisture buildup can create the perfect conditions.
πŸ‘€ Basements and crawl spaces β€” dark, damp areas are a common place for moisture problems to begin.
πŸ‘€ Around HVAC systems β€” condensation and drainage issues can create problems.
πŸ‘€ Behind walls or ceilings β€” especially after a leak, flood, or water damage event.

The biggest thing to remember?

Mold isn't always where you can see it.

A musty smell, discoloration, bubbling paint, warped materials, or a recent water issue can all be signs that something deeper may be happening.

Take a few minutes this summer to check the areas you don't normally think about.

Your home will thank you. πŸ’™

Your walls might be telling you something...

Peeling paint. Discoloration. Bubbling. Chipping. Stains that seem to appear out of nowhere.

These aren't always just cosmetic issues.

They can be signs that moisture has made its way behind the surface and damage may already be happening where you can't see it.

And here's the thingβ€”fixing the source of the water doesn't always fix the damage.

Even after a leak is stopped, moisture can remain trapped inside walls, ceilings, and materials, leading to bigger problems like mold growth, deterioration, and damage to the structure of your home.

What you see is often just the beginning.

If your home is showing signs of water damage, don't wait and hope it disappears. Water doesn't dry out on its own just because the leak is fixed.

Your home is giving you a warning. It's worth listening to.

πŸ’™ If you notice these signs, our team is here to help you understand what's happening and what steps come next.

We spent some time out at today, and we wanted to give you a little update.

Right now, we are getting everything lined up before demo begins. That means taking measurements, documenting the damage, making sure the plan is in place, and working closely with the homeowners every step of the way.

You can also see that the contents have been removed from the home, which is another big milestone as we get ready for the next phase of the project.

There is a lot that happens before the walls start coming down, and every step helps set the project up for success.

We are excited to keep bringing you along as this one moves forward. Demo is almost here... and we'll be sharing it all along the way. πŸ’™πŸ’šπŸ§‘
