Not bulletproof. Built for impact. 💥

We took our impact windows and doors to the shooting range to see just how much they could handle.

After roughly 20 rounds hit this sliding glass patio door, not one bullet pe*****ted the glass. The glass took the hits, cracked, and stayed intact.

Now, this is NOT bulletproof glass. It’s impact glass engineered for storm protection, designed to help protect South Florida homes and families when the conditions outside get serious.

Seeing it perform in a test like this was seriously impressive.

We put a standard LockTight impact sliding patio door through an unexpected test: approximately 20 rounds from a real firearm.

The result? Not one round pe*****ted the glass.

To be clear, this is not bulletproof glass. It’s Category 5 impact glass, engineered for storm protection. In a hurricane, the goal isn’t for the glass to never crack. It’s for the glass to remain intact and help prevent wind, rain, and dangerous debris from entering your home.

And the results? WOW.

The non-impact glass shatters, while the impact glass holds together and forms a spiderweb pattern instead of allowing the projectile to pe*****te through.

What happens when something comes flying at your window? 👀💥

We put standard glass and ESW Storm Shield Category 5 impact glass to the test, and the results speak for themselves.

The standard glass was pe*****ted, while the impact glass shattered but held together, stopping the projectile from passing through. That ability to break without allowing the impact to pe*****te is a critical part of what makes impact glass so important for protecting your home during a storm.
