Your mold results came back. So what happens next?

Here's the part a lot of people miss: finding mold is only half the answer. Mold needs a few conditions to grow, and moisture is the one you can actually control. Find the water source, address it, and you're solving the problem at its root instead of treating the same spot again and again.

So the real question becomes: where is the moisture coming from?

Over the next few posts, we're breaking down where moisture hides in Florida homes. Follow along. 👇

When it comes to mold sampling, the method matters — because different sample types answer different questions.

A surface sample identifies what's on a specific area. An air sample captures what's circulating in a space. A control sample gives the lab a reference point to compare against. ATP tests are rapid field indicators that can signal the presence of biological material — but they don't identify mold on their own.

Understanding the difference helps you know what you're getting — and what questions are still open.

Your home has ways of telling you something isn't right. The trick is knowing what to look for.

Most people wait until mold is obvious before doing anything about it. But the earliest signs are usually small: buildup around your AC vents, a stain that returns, or bubbling or cracked paint.

Swipe through the 6 signs worth paying attention to. If any of them feel familiar, we can help you find out what's actually going on.

Behind every certified mold professional is real training. This week Moe has been getting a chance to do what he loves most, help remediators and assessors get their NORMI certifications.

He's completing the CMA CMR NORMI Certified Mold Assessor and Remediator Concurrent Training, a three-day course that covers both sides of the mold industry in one room.

Assessors learn how remediation actually works, and remediators learn the assessment process, because understanding both makes for a sharper, more capable professional.

It's this kind of ongoing training and certification that lets us show up to your home knowing exactly what we're doing and why. When you work with a NORMI certified team, you're getting people who take the standards of this industry seriously.

Proud of the work happening in this room this week.👏

Most people would walk right past this.

A spotless white ceiling. Nothing unusual… until you look closer.

Mold doesn't always show itself. It grows in corners, along edges, and behind fixtures where nobody thinks to look. By the time it's obvious, it's been there a while.

If something feels off in your home, trust that feeling.
