**PART TWO | The Details 🖤**

Dark and bold doesn’t have to mean heavy.

In this bathroom, it was all about the contrast the rich, masculine tones paired with strong gold finishes, the black fixtures that weren’t afraid to make a statement, and layers of texture that kept the entire space feeling elevated rather than dark.

Every finish was chosen to have a little presence.

Because when you commit to a bold design… you COMMIT. 🖤✨

Sometimes the best project starts with, “I’m finally doing something for myself.”

This bachelor bath was ready for a serious upgrade and we weren’t afraid to give it some personality. Masculine tones, bold gold finishes and yes… a black toilet. 🖤

But the biggest changes were about making the room work better. We relocated the toilet from an awkward spot that left wasted space, which gave us room for a larger, more functional vanity. Then we said goodbye to the tub and replaced it with a walk-in shower that completely changed the feel of the room.

Dark. Bold. Handsome. And finally designed for the person who actually lives there.

Sometimes doing something for yourself is long overdue. ✨

There's a reason I trust Jess at Heartlin Photography; she knows how to capture design and make the smallest spaces shine!

A bathroom doesn’t become beautiful because of one great selection. ✨

It’s the way the tile transitions. The placement of the lighting. The finish on the hardware. The scale of the vanity. The little decisions you may not notice individually, but somehow notice when they’re done right.

That’s where good design lives.

Because the best spaces aren’t just filled with pretty things… they’re thoughtfully pulled together. 🤍

✨ A guest bath transformation that proves the right changes can completely reshape a space.

Our clients fell in love with the shower tile almost immediately and honestly, it became the perfect starting point for the entire room.

They also knew exactly what wasn’t working. The original vanity made the bathroom feel long and narrow, almost like a hallway. Shortening it was something they felt strongly about, and they were right! A smaller 'floating vanity' gave the room breathing space, made it feel wider and more intentional, and added that clean, custom look we wanted.

And then there’s the lighting. 😍 When you have clients who appreciate something a little unexpected and absolutely gorgeous, you don’t settle for ordinary fixtures.

Sometimes great design isn’t about adding more, it’s knowing where to pull back, where to make a statement, and how to make every inch work.

A little funny behind the scenes......

I always say I stick to what I know — kitchens + baths. But when one of your best friends asks you to help with new paint and carpet in their guest bedroom… how exactly do you say no? 🤍 I didn't!

When I first opened HL by Design, I jokingly told my husband that if I had to sell pictures of my feet online to afford a certain part of my showroom, I would do it. Thankfully, it never came to that. 😂

But THIS carpet? It is so ridiculously lush and plush that I found myself taking pictures of my feet trying to capture just how amazing it feels.

Spoiler alert: the picture doesn’t even come close.

Sometimes you have to step outside of kitchens and baths for your best friends… especially when the carpet feels this good. 🤍 Leave it to Jess @ Heartlin Photography to capture me in my own world trying to make content!

✨ Bath #3 - Definitely saved the best one for last!!
(And WAY OVER-DUE on this post)

Elegant. Glamorous. Clean lined. Sophisticated. Every detail came together to create a bathroom that feels luxurious without being overdone. The kind of space that makes you stop and take it all in.

This guest ensuite is one of those baths I think we'd all happily have in our home or want to stay in!!

- nailed this one out of the park
Blackstone Installation LLC - not just the quartz countertop, but quartz shower threshold 👀
Neighborhood Painter - Kaleb always brings the paint to seal the deal
Van Pelt Drywall - When full guts turn into a work of art 🏛
DMI Plumbing Services - took this from a dual showerhead to a functional walk in

Our girl Jess @ Heartlin Photography captures that sparkle and true color. We wouldn't have bragging rights on our work without her! 💜

BATH TWO!

This little half bath needed just a tiny facelift as well. Somewhat mirroring materials and colors to the other bath, we made just a few small changes so that they weren't so matchy matchy, because that's boring 😜

Get ready......you're about to see not one, not two, but THREE bathroom updates from one incredible home.

I can never fully express how much it means that some of our closest friends trusted me with their home. That kind of trust is something I'll never take for granted.

Who would think that updating a floor and changing out the pedestal sink would be such fresh perspective?!

Two years ago, I had the pleasure of designing this kitchen....New layout, supplying the cabinetry and countertops. My clients took on the installation themselves, pouring their own hard work and dedication into bringing the vision to life.

Today, they invited me back to capture the finished project, and I couldn't be more grateful. It's always an honor when clients think of me long after the design is complete, and seeing a space finally come together is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Thank you for trusting HL by Design with your home. It's beautiful, and I'm so excited to finally share the finished result! ❤️✨
