We started with a simple passion for preserving the moments that matter most, and looking back at this picture reminds us exactly why we opened this "box" in the first place. It’s messy, it’s vintage and we absolutely love it.

Many know Howard Tatge as the Owner and CEO of MidAmerica Basement Systems, but his journey started in 1994. He joined the company as a sales representative, solving foundation and waterproofing issues for homeowners.

Driven by a passion for quality and business growth, he moved up to General Manager and eventually, became the sole owner.

MABS has grown from a local shop to a regional leader, but our core mission has never changed: delivering uncompromised quality and peace of mind to every homeowner we serve.
