The landscaping and hardscape are by K&W Landscaping. The well ended up right where the path to the detached garage needed to go, so a couple of their guys and Nick came up with this stone stair design on the fly and built around it. Being able to solve things on the spot is a big part of how we work.

That wraps our Whitewater Lakehouse tour. Thanks for touring with us. Have a project in mind? Call Nick at 262-949-9129.

A railing worth pointing out. After some bad experiences with cable rail, this is a newer Westbury system: super sleek, and the railings run all the way through. The decking is AZEK, which we use on every house, with hidden fasteners and the plug system for a very sharp look. Skirt boards on the upper deck, the small stuff. When it comes down to detail, we love doing it.

In the front door and into the foyer. Board and batten on this wall, a detail we repeated in a few spots through the house because it is a really cool way to break up a big plain wall. To the left, the office. Then out to the screen porch we custom built, screens and all: board and batten carried in from the lake facing wall below, a cedar ceiling with the smooth side down, fans and lights, and a great spot to be when it is raining.

A playhouse can be made of wood, but the memories made inside it can last a lifetime.

We’re incredibly grateful to Monien Construction for supporting this year’s playhouse giveaway and helping bring this project to life. The playhouse was thoughtfully designed and built by the students of the Delavan-Darien School District Comet Construction Club, giving them the opportunity to put their creativity, craftsmanship, and hard work into something that will soon belong to a local family. But projects like this don’t happen alone.

The support of local businesses like Monien Construction helps make it possible for students to share their talents, for community partnerships to grow, and for a special holiday gift to reach a family right here at home.

Thank you, Monien Construction, for investing in our community and being part of something that will create memories long after the holiday season is over.

The playhouse will be given away during a live drawing on Sunday, December 13th, at Advanced Auto Clinic, 4300 WI-50 in Delavan. Learn more and enter for your chance to win by visiting our website.

The selected winner must be present at the drawing to claim the playhouse. If the selected winner is not present when their name is called, another winner will be drawn.

The main kitchen. The island top is nine feet by three feet, and the edges are wrapped so it reads thicker than it is. Custom tile work, glass, and cabinets from Home Lumber, and all the appliances in place. Then a slow pan along the kitchen so you can take it in.

The family room, the main part of the house. Super tall ceilings, and we ran the fireplace stone all the way up to give it that dominant look. The mantle beam came from Seth Hansen and started life on a to***co farm down south. Everything from him has a story. And instead of gas, this house has a wood burning fireplace, which is going to be something in the winter with snow falling outside those big windows.

Out on the master bedroom's walkout deck. The views up here are something, and in the fall with the leaves changing they will be even better. You can also see just how high this house sits above the lake, which made it an interesting build. Challenging, but very fun.

The master bedroom. We did a board and batten wall, but spaced the battens unevenly on purpose so it reads modern and fits this house. The walk-in closet is another Wisconsin Closet Company build. Then the master bath: a soaking tub that looks out to the walkout deck, a heated, motion activated toilet, a custom walk-in shower, and a two sink vanity.

Second floor, one of three bedrooms. The custom closet is from Wisconsin Closet Company. Homeowners see it on CAD first and pick exactly what they want, which is what makes a closet actually usable. Down the hall is the Jack and Jill bathroom with a very unique shower door setup, great plumbing fixtures, and a vanity sink on each side.

Still in the basement. The wet bar has lighting under the cabinets and under the shelf to light up the tile, plus a dishwasher and a beverage fridge. Behind it is the entertainment area with the TV wall, the walkout to the patio and fire pit, and the bar right where you want it. It all works together.
