Carrier up flow air handler with a improper filtration set up.

The factory metal frame filters for Carrier air handlers are typically washable, aluminum mesh pre-filters (frequently associated with HK/KFAFK part numbers). In up flow configurations, these filters are usually placed in a bottom-mounted rack.

Filter Sizing: The metal filter's physical dimensions (like 16"x21.5", 20"x21.5", or 13"x21.5") are specific to your exact cabinet width (024, 030, 036, 042, etc.). Always verify your unit's exact slot measurements.

The coil cleaner took one look at the evaporator and asked for hazard pay.
