Sometimes the biggest visual change comes from updating what’s already there.

Here’s a recent powder room painting project we completed in Danbury, CT.

This Bethel home had storm-related roof damage that left portions of the interior ceiling and walls in need of restoration.

After the roof was repaired, we took care of the interior replacing insulation where needed, installing new drywall, completing the necessary surface preparation, and matching the existing trim profile to keep the finished space consistent with the rest of the home.

Everything was then properly primed and painted for a clean, seamless finish.

But the finished result is only part of the story.

The roof was already repaired. But the damage inside the home was still there.

When we arrived at this Bethel home, the water-damaged drywall had already been removed following storm-related roof damage.

What remained was the part homeowners don’t always see evaluating what was left behind before closing everything back up.

We replaced insulation where needed, rebuilt the affected ceiling areas with new drywall, and began the finishing process to properly restore the space.

This project is still in progress.

Because repairing water damage isn’t just about making the ceiling look normal again.

What looked like a simple exterior trim repair turned into something much more important.

During this New Canaan project, removing the existing garage trim revealed hidden moisture damage behind the finished surface.

Instead of simply covering the problem with new material, we removed the damaged areas, evaluated the underlying structure, installed the proper protective materials, and rebuilt the exterior assembly before completing the finish work.

This is why preparation matters.
