Just finished building and installing the stairs in a house at Chateau Elons neighborhood off Legends Dr. Extremely high end, all solid sapele mahogany treads and risers on the main and basement stairs. The library's helical spiral has a solid 2" twisting center stringer, 2-1/2" solid sapele treads, and a 2" sapele outside stringer. The outside stringer is just 1" for now, but once the railings are installed, it will be 2" thick with recessed paneling. Everything's been protected with hardboard tread covers and I'll do the handrails once the drywall is completed. Amazing job and this one's been a real challenge for sure.

I have recently completed a turn-key built-in unit for a law firm at Colony Square. Although accessing the 20th floor presented some challenges, the end result was truly impressive. The entire unit is constructed from premium hard maple, boasting solid inset doors, solid dove-tail drawers, cabinet grade 3/4" plywood, 2" wide face frames, and a 1-3/4" thick butcher block counter top.The aged brass pulls and k***s, sourced from Rejuvenation Hardware West Slope, add a touch of elegance. A hidden pop-out door in the corner accommodates a safe and wiring, while a cabinet door opens to reveal a printer slide-out, making it a beautiful piece.

Completed the railings on a recent curved stair. We did white oak craftsman style rail that we turned down and used as the posts. Black iron balusters combining a plain 1/2" square with a new "U" style were also used. These rail bends were extremely tight at an 18" radius so I steamed the rail for the balcony and the basement. The main stair had some extreme pitch changes so it was done with a cnc to get the pitch change transitions smoothed out. It all came out perfect and looking forward to seeing it finished.

Another freestanding curved stair built with squared off white oak treads and risers with paint grade side stringers. The original plans had a door to the basement, a wall under the stairs, and a cased opening under the top platform. After removing the temporary stairs and framing, we built the inside curved freestanding beam so it extends across the balcony and i to the wall. This helps carry the top platform load which enabled us to remove the stair supporting wall, basement door, and the cased opening support. This opened up the main floor to the basement.

More pictures of the custom spiral. The center post is solid 6" maple with notches routed for the treads. The white oak 2" treads were made in 2 pieces so they're glued together on the post. The top platform is solid 2" white oak and caps the post and is notched to sit on the flooring. The outside stringer beam is 2" thick paint grade birch capped on top with solid wood. The railing is white oak and the posts are solid iron with 1/2" satin black iron balusters. These are some pictures how it was all assembled and built.

Finished the handrails and installed the custom spiral on the curved stair I finished awhile back. Built-up curbs around the balconies and white oak rail with solid iron posts and 1/2" square iron balusters give this a sleek modern look.

Custom site-built freestanding curved stair in Calhoun. Built with narrow supporting stringers so it looks like its floating. The beams on either side are laminated 3" thick that extemd from the header to the floor. The bottom 3 treads were made extra long with 1 measuring over 8' long and 3' wide, made from single glued up tread blanks. Made from solid white oak treads, white oak risers, with birch and poplar side stringers. The back will have drywall inset so thte side beams are exposed 2" on the bottom like the top from the nosing. The outside stringer measures over 28 feet long and I used over 6 gallons of glue on those 2 beams alone. This is a massive stair and built to last.
The basement was another site-built cut in curve that I just added treads, risers, and side skirt boards to the existing framing. More extra long treads, some over 8' .
All the treads are covered with builders paper and hardboard for protection during construction. Next up the railings.

Continuous flow railing system done in St Simons island. Installed just 1 - 7" custom white oak post at the bottom step with white oak rail and tapered "pool cue" balusters. CNC wreathed railing was custom-made for this stair, and it was all bolted together. Each baluster has a dowel screw fastening it at the bottom, and I used 2-1/2" trim screws and PL adhesive at the top of each baluster. The final fit was super tight, I tapered the top of each baluster and then pounded the rail down with a rubber mallet. All resulted in an extremely stiff railing system that looked amazing. Another cool project and another happy customer.

This stair has custom made white oak rustic treads with small knots and squared edges, custom turned 7" white oak posts, and white oak rail all steel brushed to bring out the texture. They were stained with Duraseal and finished with Bona Traffic HD. The balusters are from House of Forgings in satin black. The treads were custom made, glued with biscuits, and heavily textured woth a steel brush. The wood finish is amazing and it turned out great with a timeless design.
