Who’s enjoying this heatwave? 👉 Mitsubishi Electric Trane US owners, that’s who!

It's HOT out there, NEPA.

With the heat advisory in effect, here are a few simple ways to help keep your home comfortable and take a little strain off your A/C:

• Keep blinds and curtains closed during the hottest part of the day.
• Set your thermostat where you're comfortable and leave it there. Turning it way down won't cool your home any faster.
• If it's time, replace your air filter. A clean filter helps your system run more efficiently.
• Keep doors and windows closed as much as possible.
• Wait until the evening to do things like laundry, baking, or running the dishwasher if you can.
• Make sure furniture or curtains aren't blocking your vents.

One thing we hear a lot during heat waves: "My A/C won't shut off."

On days like this, that's often completely normal. When temperatures get into the 90s, your air conditioner may run for long periods of time trying to keep up. That doesn't necessarily mean anything is wrong.

Stay hydrated, take breaks if you're working outside, and check in on family members, neighbors, and pets during the heat.

Stay cool,
The Monk HVAC Team

❄️ Office Closed Today ❄️

Due to the weather, our office is closed today. That said, our emergency service is still available if you need us! If your heat goes out or you have an urgent issue, don’t hesitate to call. We’ve got you covered. 🔥

Cold Weather Heating Tips:
• Make sure snow and ice are cleared away from your furnace and exhaust/intake pipes outside..blocked vents can cause shutdowns.
• Keep your thermostat set at a consistent temperature to avoid unnecessary strain on your system.

Stay warm, stay safe, and enjoy the snow! ❄️
