Studio Outside is proud to be working with The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to envision and plan Post Oak Ridge State Park—Texas’s newest state park. Spanning more than 3,000 acres across the Colorado River from Colorado Bend State Park, the site offers a rare opportunity to create a park from the ground up. Supported by the Centennial Parks Conservation Fund, the park’s development is being shaped by input from public engagement sessions and online surveys. We invite you to share how you’d like to use, experience, and enjoy this unique Hill Country landscape. Bank OZK’s 44-acre headquarters in west Little Rock introduces a contemporary campus shaped by a strong diagonal axis that shapes the arrival, frames the atrium’s feature wall, and guides a pedestrian promenade along the north edge. To the east, naturalized ponds reflect the architecture and landscape, anchoring the site to the Arkansas River corridor.

At the entry court, two commissioned 40-foot bronze “water spirit” sculptures serve as a striking focal point, setting a tone of art-driven identity. The northern landscape shifts to a more relaxed, employee-focused environment, with outdoor seating overlooking the water and culminating at Serenity, a delicate art piece paired with a refined pavilion. Expansive lawns support events and gatherings, while native plantings echo the region’s ecology, grounding the modern campus in its natural setting.

Reimagining a Dallas landmark.

Located just north of SMU, Energy Square has long been a Dallas icon. Our redevelopment plan with Gensler stitched the campus together with a continuous paving design anchored by two Brad Oldham sculptures, mid-century inspired site elements, and thoughtful moments that honor the historic Meadows Building. Past meets present — and creates something vibrant.

This distinction is typically granted to just one or two non-architects each year. To our knowledge, Lisa is the only landscape architect in Dallas to receive it in at least the past decade.
