Living Earth - DFW Living Earth® is a leading green waste recycler and organic mulch, soil & compost manufacturer. At Living Earth®, organic is a way of life. The outcome?

Our goal is to help protect the environment by providing quality organic gardening and landscape products produced to help our customers lead a more sustainable and conscious lifestyle. A gardening staple since 1985, we use proprietary methods to recycle brush, grass clippings and other natural products. The very best organic composts, mulches, soil mixes and high-performance amendments the industry has to offer. If we don’t make it ourselves, we source the very best. We carry a selection of natural stones in a spectrum of colors and textures. We offer flagstone, boulders, moss rock, beach pebbles, crushed quartz, gravel and more (availability may vary by location). Whatever your garden and landscaping needs, we can help! We are open for business but, even better, we can deliver directly to your home or job site. For retail, you can order online, pick up or request delivery. Landscape architects, municipalities and business owners can call or visit any location to purchase and pick up your supplies. We deliver to job sites too!

As we wrap up Customer Service Week, we’re giving a well-deserved shoutout to our customer service representatives across Texas and Tennessee. At Living Earth, great customer service isn’t optional. It’s an essential part of our business, and our CSRs are often the first point of contact, helping customers find what they need, answering questions and making sure things run smoothly.

Of course, it takes a team! Behind every great customer experience is a whole crew of people making it happen, from our equipment operators and drivers to our site managers, logistics teams and everyone working behind the scenes.

We’re sharing a few familiar faces from across Living Earth, but this thank-you goes to every CSR and the many valued team members who contribute to the customer experience.

Thanks for all you do, team. We appreciate you! 💚

Playgrounds take a beating. That’s kind of the point. 🛝

Living Earth® Kiddie Cushion Playground Chips are engineered wood fiber made from virgin hardwood and/or pine, designed for high-use public and private playgrounds.

And there’s some serious testing behind all that playing. Kiddie Cushion is IPEMA-certified to meet ASTM F2075 standards for material quality and ASTM F1292 standards for impact attenuation. It’s also free of pallets, bark and chemically treated wood.

From schools and parks to neighborhood and backyard playgrounds, it’s made for places where play is serious business.

Find Kiddie Cushion at select Living Earth locations.

📍 Site Spotlight: Living Earth - Flower Mound

There’s a lot happening behind the scenes at our Flower Mound location.

Led by Site Manager Jeramy, the Flower Mound team serves homeowners, landscapers and other professionals looking for everything from mulch, compost and soil to gravel and other landscape materials. It’s also one of our production and bagging locations, helping keep both bulk and bagged Living Earth products moving throughout North Texas.

But if you read the reviews, it’s clear the people are a big part of what keeps customers coming back. Flower Mound has earned a 4.6-star Google rating across 54 reviews, with customers regularly recognizing the team for friendly, helpful service. Lesly gets plenty of well-deserved shoutouts for her product knowledge, helpful suggestions and willingness to make the buying process easier.

The site has been part of the Flower Mound community since 2018 and also puts local green waste back to work by recycling clean brush, tree trimmings, leaves and grass into useful landscape materials.

Thanks to Jeramy, Lesly, Emely and the entire Flower Mound crew for keeping things moving, and for taking good care of our customers while you do it. 🌱

September is National Honey Month, and we happen to know a guy...

A Living Earth employee shared some photos of a very noteworthy hobby: beekeeping.

Bees are a pretty good reminder that what we grow in our yards and landscapes matters. Flowering trees, shrubs and plants can provide food and habitat for pollinators while making our own outdoor spaces a little better, too.

And apparently, sometimes all that work ends with a jar of honey. 🐝🍯

Happy National Honey Month! 🌼🐝

It’s officially fall, y'all. Texas temperatures will get the memo eventually... 😅

The autumnal equinox arrives tonight at 7:05 p.m. Central, marking the astronomical start of fall and the beginning of shorter days and longer nights. Over the coming weeks, we’ll see more of the seasonal changes we’ve been waiting for, from cooler mornings to migrating birds heading south.

And for those of us who would rather spend those cooler hours outside? Fall is a pretty good time to get back into the garden... Just sayin'.

Happy first day of fall, Texas!

As we wrap up National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, we’re recognizing some of the people who keep Living Earth moving. 🚛

Across our markets, our drivers spend their days moving materials between locations and getting products where they need to go. And they’re not doing it alone. Our heavy equipment operators are instrumental to the process, running the loaders, grinders and other equipment that keeps material moving long before it hits the road.

This video features just some of our drivers, but the appreciation extends to every driver and equipment operator across Living Earth.

Thank you for the work you do every day and for keeping things moving!

The calendar may say fall is around the corner, but North Texas gardens still have plenty going on. 🌱

The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden has put together a useful collection of gardening resources for every season, including monthly garden checklists, plant tips, videos and virtual garden tours.

For September, their recommendations include adding fall color, planting cool-season vegetables and getting new rose shrubs in the ground.

Bookmark the Dallas Arboretum site, North Texas gardeners! You'll find some useful info year-round. 🐝
