CANT BELIEVE ITS BEEN 10 YEARS!!!

Still standing strong with no issues!

From the first rock of the retaining wall and leveling the site, to setting the first posts and installing the final piece of hemlock trim, this was a project we truly enjoyed seeing come together from start to finish.

A lot of thought went into making this building not only look great, but also remain functional and comfortable for years to come. The interior was insulated with 3 inches of closed-cell spray foam, while double-pane Low-E windows filled with argon gas help improve energy efficiency and maintain a more consistent temperature throughout the year.

The roof trusses were specially ordered with a built-in attic storage area, adding valuable usable space without changing the footprint of the building.

On the exterior, we used locally sourced rough-cut hemlock to give the structure a timeless, natural appearance. Every piece received two coats of stain for added protection and durability. The windows and doors were trimmed in matching rough-cut hemlock, with the window trim cut on a 15-degree angle to help shed water away from the openings.

One of our favorite details is the barn door setup. The traditional barn doors are fully functional and give the building the look the customer wanted, while concealing an insulated overhead garage door behind them. This provides the appearance and character of a traditional barn with the added weather protection and insulation of a modern garage door.

This wasn't our first project for this customer, but it has definitely been one of the most enjoyable ones to build. We appreciate the continued trust in Blaine Construction and always enjoy having the opportunity to turn an idea into something that will be used and enjoyed for many years to come.

We’ve been working on a drainage and flood-prevention project at a church in Kingston, PA.

The existing parking lot was pitched toward the building, which, along with several other drainage issues, had been contributing to water entering the basement and elevator shaft.

To help correct the problem, we removed the existing asphalt and regraded the area to direct water away from the entrance and foundation. We also installed two concrete drainage tanks and a new inlet box, along with redirecting several downspouts to better manage stormwater around the property.
We’ve also been fortunate to have volunteers helping with additional waterproofing measures, including sealing the foundation and installing a backup sump pump system for the elevator.

This project has been a team effort focused on addressing the source of the water problems and creating a long-term solution to help protect the building from future flooding.

Another project completed for a repeat customer!

The goal was to create a more timeless, bold look from the street. The homeowners chose a stone panel that complements the existing colors of the home and ties in beautifully with the siding.

We completed the project in just three days, including removing the existing siding, preparing the surface, and installing new trim around the doors, windows, siding, and electrical fixtures.

We truly appreciate the continued trust from our repeat customers and look forward to working with them on many more projects in the years ahead. We can’t wait to see what’s next!

Here’s a kitchen renovation we completed in Dallas, PA!

We opened up the space and brought in more natural light by replacing one small window with two larger windows. We also relocated the stove and sink to create a more functional layout.

This renovation included:
• A custom island with a built-in bookshelf
• Farmhouse sink
• Four pantry cabinets
• Dedicated coffee bar
• Custom matching range hood
• Open-concept wall layout
• White subway tile from the countertops to the ceiling
• New flooring, molding, and overhead lighting
• Fresh paint throughout the entire first floor

We’re extremely happy with how this beautiful, bright, and functional space came together!

Here’s a look back at a barn restoration project we completed for a customer.
The original support posts had not been set deep enough, and inadequate bracing caused the structure to lean over time. The roof-truss support beams were also undersized and needed to be upgraded.
We successfully straightened and reinforced the walls and roof, upgraded the structural supports, and installed new hemlock siding. We also added several gates and doors to improve the barn’s functionality.
We’re very pleased with how this project turned out—and even happier that the barn is now stronger, safer, and built to last.

Another hot tub site preparation completed!
For this project, we carefully removed a portion of the existing paver patio and installed a properly prepared, level concrete pad for the homeowner’s new hot tub. We also installed the electrical disconnect and completed the final electrical connections after the hot tub was delivered.
A solid, level foundation is essential for maintaining the correct water level, supporting the tremendous weight of a filled hot tub, and helping prevent damage to its frame and shell. Proper electrical installation is equally important for safe and reliable operation. In fact, most manufacturers require the hot tub to be placed on a suitable level surface to maintain warranty coverage.
Now this hot tub is safely installed, properly supported, and ready to be enjoyed!

Check out this recent bathroom transformation!

Our customer wanted to replace an outdated bathtub and surround that had accumulated several layers of previous remodeling. We gutted the entire area down to the studs and installed a completely new shower featuring a convenient handheld sprayer and a beautiful frameless glass door.

The entire project was completed in less than a week and is now ready to be enjoyed!
