That’s a wrap on ’s fall career fair season! Over the past few weeks, our team has traveled from job fair to job fair to connect with students and share what it’s like to build a career at RLG. A big thank you to all the students who stopped by, asked questions, shared their experiences, and took the time to get to know our team. We’re also grateful to the universities and career centers who welcomed us and helped make each event possible.

RLG provided Civil Engineering and Survey Services for the development of Metrocare’s Hillside Campus in Dallas, Texas, supporting a major expansion of the organization’s mental health and developmental disability services. The new campus includes a 45,000-square-foot clinic serving children, teens, and adults, along with a 60,000-square-foot office building on a 10.1-acre site. RLG’s civil engineering services included zoning assistance, site development plans, and improvements to Westmoreland Road, including modifications to the existing traffic signals. Survey services included boundary and topographic surveys and platting. Together, RLG’s services helped establish the site infrastructure and improvements needed to support Metrocare’s expanded campus.

Meet Gabriella Falcon, who returned to this summer as a Structural Intern!

After interning with RLG before, Gabi returned this summer to build on her experience, learn from our structural team, and get a closer look at the projects and people behind the work. Along the way, her RLG buddy was there to help her make connections, navigate the internship, and get the most out of her experience.

What makes Gabi’s experience especially unique is that this wasn’t her first summer with RLG. Having completed multiple internships with us, she’s had the chance to get to know our people, our culture, and what it means to be part of . Her return gave her the opportunity to continue building on those relationships while growing her experience in structural engineering.

RLG has provided engineering services to the Methodist Richardson Medical Center (MRMC) campus in Richardson, Texas, supporting the hospital through multiple phases of growth and development over the years. Our longstanding relationship with MRMC has allowed us to return to the campus as new needs and opportunities have emerged, helping support the continued development. Over the years, the RLG team has completed engineering services for several campus projects, including the Trauma and Critical Care Tower in 2011, a 7-level, 671-space parking structure in 2020, the pharmacy expansion in 2022, and most recently, the OR and PACU expansion completed in 2024. Through each project, RLG has helped build upon the existing campus and support MRMC as it continues to expand and enhance its facilities.

Working across two disciplines allowed Alex to see different sides of the project process, gain hands-on experience, and learn how our Survey and Civil teams work together to bring projects to life. Alex also worked with an RLG buddy throughout the summer, providing another opportunity to learn from and connect with someone on the team.

RLG has provided structural engineering services at multiple healthcare facilities, including several OSF locations and the VA in Peoria, to support specialized medical equipment. Our experience includes designing Unistrut support systems for equipment such as lift-assist systems and X-ray machines, helping facilities integrate essential equipment into existing spaces while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

Meet Eric Rogers, who spent the summer with RLG as a Structural Intern!

During his internship, Eric gained hands-on experience and a closer look at what a career in structural engineering can look like. He was also paired with an RLG buddy who helped him navigate the experience, ask questions, and connect with the team. Now heading back to Oklahoma State University, he’s taking that experience with him as he continues working toward his career in engineering.

RLG’s internship cohort allows students to gain hands-on experience, explore their interests, and build connections across the firm and with each other. Each intern is also paired with an RLG buddy for additional guidance and support throughout the summer.
