We recently completed a drainage improvement project that included reshaping the landscape and installing a rock retaining wall to help redirect water away from the home and safely past the lower patio area. The homeowner chose to complete the installation of the 1.5-inch landscape rock between the larger stones, allowing them to reduce overall project costs while still achieving the desired result.

This area experiences significant runoff during heavy rain events and spring snowmelt. With the new grading and rock wall in place, water will now be directed more efficiently, helping to protect the property from erosion and water-related issues for years to come.

Here are a few photos from last week’s project at Laughing Horse Ranch. Our crew installed approximately 350 feet of new waterline in collaboration with Steve’s Well Service. As part of the project, we also added stub-outs for a future horse waterer that will be installed in the pasture area.

Once the installation was complete, we restored the disturbed ground by spreading topsoil and power raking the area to prepare it for grass seeding. Due to the upcoming barrel racing series beginning in May and continuing throughout the summer, completing this project efficiently and on schedule was a top priority.
