100 SQ 1 piece S tile. This roof had several leaks and lots of plywood damage. Going back with US tile 1 piece. But first; the full deck polyglass (blue underlayment) treatment. Like Franks red hot sauce we're putting that sh*t on everything. Polyglass is an excellent waterproofing membrane that is high temp rated, and seals around fasteners. Finished project coming soon. Clean tear off. Clean dry-in. Clean install.

Finished up this clean re-roof and leak correction this week.

The issue wasn’t the shingles. It was water getting trapped and pushed into a wall transition. We fabricated a custom cricket/diverter and added new wall flashing to redirect the runoff where it belonged.

Solar panels reinstalled, system tested, roof dried in. Just waiting on the rain to stop so we can finish paint and close this one out.

Most roof leaks happen at details and transitions. Not in the middle of the shingles.

That’s the difference between a shingle swap and an actual roof restoration. Waterproof it right. Waterproof it once.

Staging is tough work. This house is re-roofed & fully waterproofed complete with new flashing and siding repairs. The paint crew starts tomorrow to fully restore this house. If your contractor just does the roof, they missed critical waterproofing details. Waterproofing is cheap. Water damage isn't.

Most roofs get new shingles.
Very few get rebuilt correctly.

This one did.

Every critical transition was waterproofed.
Walls detached so the flashing could be rebuilt correctly instead of reused and buried.
Slope changes sealed.
Pipe penetrations waterproofed.
Details addressed before the shingles ever went on.

Because the difference between a 10-year roof and a 30-year roof usually isn’t the shingle.
It’s everything hidden underneath it.

New shingles don’t automatically mean a new roof.
The craftsmanship does.
