Last month marked a major milestone at the New Nissan Stadium – the cable net was officially pinned!

Reaching this point represents months of planning, coordination, and precise ex*****on by the teams working above the field and behind the scenes. With the cable net fully connected, another defining element of the stadium’s ETFE roof system has taken shape.

Another key milestone is underway at the new Nissan Stadium!

Following the successful pinning of the top net, crews installed the vertical posts that connect the upper and lower cable nets and help define the roof’s final form.

These photos offer a close-up look at the precision and expertise required for "hanging the wind chimes." Every pin installation represents careful planning, coordination, and ex*****on by specialized crews working together to bring this complex roof structure to life.

Pregame, but make it architectural.

As Atlanta hosts a semifinal match, the energy around the stadium will start long before kickoff.

ETS’ PTFE canopy structures at The Home Depot Backyard help support the outdoor gathering spaces that make major event days feel memorable, comfortable, and connected.

Along with nearby ETS work at the Georgia World Congress Center, these projects show how tensile architecture can shape the fan experience beyond the stadium bowl.

And for those flying out after the final whistle, ETS’ work may come back into view at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, where the ATL drop-off canopies feature a long-span pressurized ETFE cushion system and the largest ETFE cushion application in North America.

Match day is not just what happens on the field. It is everything that happens around it.

The deeper the tournament goes, the bigger the stage becomes!

As quarterfinal play brings Los Angeles Stadium back into the global spotlight, we are highlighting one of the most ambitious stadium roof structures ever built.

Known outside tournament play as SoFi Stadium, the venue features the world’s largest cable net roof structure: a 1.3 million-square-foot roof supported by an arching steel truss compression ring and covered with translucent ETFE.

The roof includes 302 ETFE panels, each approximately 60 feet by 60 feet, and 46 mechanized vents that help heat dissipate from the venue.

For ETS, the project began well before installation. Through a design-assist phase with the project consultants, ETS helped develop a technically and commercially viable roof and ETFE cladding system, supporting budget, schedule, logistics, and construction planning.

A stadium can become part of a city’s identity.

Originally opened in 1983, BC Place was transformed from the world’s largest air-supported dome into a state-of-the-art venue with a cable-supported retractable roof.

ETS helped deliver that transformation by installing the new roof system’s fixed fabric panels: 36 outer panels and 36 inner panels, with the largest spanning 220 feet and covering approximately 10,000 square feet each.

The result is a lighter, brighter venue that redefined BC Place as a year-round, open-air stadium with 25,000 square feet of open sky from the interior.

As tournament play continues in Vancouver, BC Place remains a powerful example of tensile membrane design at civic scale.

Rather than replacing it, the Jacksonville Jaguars are reimagining EverBank Stadium with a $1.4B renovation for the “Stadium of the Future".

ETS is proud to be contributing to this landmark transformation.

Designed by HOK, the project will introduce a transparent roof canopy, expanded concourses, and a bold new exterior identity, all focused on improving shade, comfort, airflow, and the fan experience.
