In April, Siplast attended the 36th Annual Lucy G. Moses Preservation Awards to celebrate excellence in historic preservation and the teams dedicated to protecting New York City’s architectural legacy.

Hosted by the New York Landmarks Conservancy, the awards recognize outstanding preservation efforts across the city, honoring the individuals, organizations, architects, craftspeople, and building owners helping restore and preserve historically significant structures.

Siplast is proud to be the roofing and/or waterproofing for many of New York’s iconic projects such as the Frick Collection, The Terminal Arts Club, and Terminal Warehouse which were all awarded for excellence in historic preservation.

To protect T5’s new 54-megawatt Hillsboro campus, the Siplast WALLcontrol™ AWB System was utilized to create a seamless, high-durability barrier across 500,000 sq. ft. of diverse cladding materials. This liquid-applied STPE solution resolved complex transition challenges between insulated metal panels and wood cladding, ensuring a level, high-precision smooth finish while eliminating the need for time-consuming shimming. By serving as a single-source manufacturer, Siplast provided the technical expertise and comprehensive warranties essential for maintaining a reliable, mission-critical building envelope in a zero-downtime environment.

In environments where chemical exposure, grease, or long-term weathering are part of the equation, material selection becomes more than a spec decision. It directly impacts how the system holds up years down the line.

PVC KEE membranes are designed with that in mind. By incorporating ketone ethylene ester (KEE), a solid plasticizer, the formulation helps maintain long-term flexibility and performance compared to standard PVC systems that rely more heavily on liquid plasticizers.

The result is a heat-weldable membrane that resists chemical exposure, holds up under demanding conditions, and maintains performance over time.

Building enclosure decisions don't happen in isolation. A detail that works in one assembly may not work in another, and the difference often comes down to understanding how materials, conditions, and codes interact. That's the kind of thinking behind the RISE Blog — where we share technical insights on topics like air barrier transitions, below-grade waterproofing, and historic preservation.

It was a privilege to host our annual hospitality event at IIBEC this year. For Siplast, this event is a vital extension of the convention, an opportunity to step away from the blueprints and technical specifications to engage with our community of design professionals in a more relaxed setting.

This year’s California Countryside theme provided a backdrop for the conversations and professional connections that drive the building enclosure industry forward. Thank you to everyone who joined us.

Missed us this year? We are already refining the details for 2027 and hope to see you there!

Below-grade waterproofing is complex by nature. TeraPROOF™ simplifies it.

TeraPROOF™ is a high-performance, STP liquid-applied membrane designed for vertical and horizontal below-grade applications that is compatible with both pre- and post-applied systems.

Where it stands out:

🔅Adheres to green concrete, helping reduce delays tied to cure time
🔅Achieves 0.4 perms at 60 mils (ASTM E96BW) for resistance to standing water and hydrostatic pressure
🔅Eliminates traditional counterflashing with seamless liquid-to-liquid transitions using Siplast Paraflex®
🔅High peel strength with a flexible, moisture-cured formulation that resists shrinkage
🔅Ready-to-use with no on-site mixing required

From foundation walls to penetrations and transitions, TeraPROOF™ is built for the realities of below-grade construction. Learn more about TeraPROOF™ and how it fits into your next project at http://spr.ly/6187BBPrn3
