This custom-made floating mantel elevated this client’s fireplace from a mere source of warmth to a visual focal point that can be styled for all seasons. The subtle arch at the bottom follows the shape of the bricks below it, while its warm wood tones echo the exposed wooden beams above and pull in the wooden flooring below. Its tiered design pays homage to the more traditional surround mantelpiece without compromising the client’s rustic aesthetic.
