When this home was built in 1978, the kitchen featured just about every shade of brown in the 64-count crayon box. Over the years, the homeowners did what many people do—they applied a few Band-Aids with fresh paint, new countertops, updated flooring, and even modified those chunky, ornate cabinet doors. While it looked a little better, the real story never changed: awkward cabinet storage, chopped-up countertops, dated appliances, a pantry that blocked the flow, and a step-down that made the space feel even more disconnected.

The new kitchen is bright, open, and beautifully functional with a modern mid-century aesthetic that's perfect for everything from weeknight dinners to entertaining family and friends. By reimagining the existing footprint, we turned a frustrating kitchen into the favorite room in the house.

We've added a few new faces to the crew, and we can't wait for you to meet them. For now, here's a little sneak peek of our in-house team.

That said, our team is much bigger than the people in this photo. From subcontractors and suppliers to designers and builders, we're lucky to work with so many talented people who help make our projects possible.

THE KITCHEN THEY THOUGHT COULDN'T BE SAVED

The homeowner thought their tiny 1950s kitchen was beyond saving. Challenge accepted.

What started as a closed-off, cramped space with limited storage, minimal counter space, a bulky water heater closet, and a laundry setup squeezed into the hallway became one of our favorite transformations.

The first move? Opening the kitchen to the family room, dining room, and den to create a brighter, more connected living space. We removed walls, expanded openings, relocated the water heater to the garage, and reclaimed valuable square footage for cabinetry and storage.

With the added storage, every small appliance found a home in the pantry, leaving the countertops clean and clutter-free.

One of the biggest design puzzles was the island. Every inch mattered. After careful planning and precise calculations, we created the perfect-sized seating island that maximized function without sacrificing flow or visual balance.

To top it all off, the homeowner requested a custom green finish for the island and range hood. Our team color-matched the shade perfectly, creating a beautiful focal point that brings personality and charm to the space.

From thoughtful design to meticulous craftsmanship, every detail was carefully considered. And hearing the homeowner say, “I love my new kitchen!” made every step worth it.

One of our favorite transformations to this day! This kitchen was remodeled back in 2018–2019, and we still absolutely love how timeless it feels years later. Taking the space from dark and heavy to bright, warm, and inviting completely changed the feel of the home. The soft white cabinetry, oversized island, and statement lighting came together so beautifully — and it’s a perfect reminder that good design truly stands the test of time. We still look back at this one as a favorite project and would create this look all over again!
