We use 11-gauge posts on all our gates and carports because the added thickness gives you better strength, less flex, and longer life—especially in high wind and traffic use. You can get away with 14-gauge on lighter setups, but it’s not something we recommend if you want it built to last.

Customer loved the carport we put up, so we came back and knocked out this small swing gate to finish off the space 🦾🔥
